One India One Language

India is a country with almost 1600 languages and so much diversity in cultures and we are so proud of it. We have been proud about it for so long time now. But is the diversity doing any help to the people of India? Are people happy? Is there peace all over India? All these questions keep coming in my mind and I find only one answer to them. ONE INDIA ONE LANGUAGE.

I am a student I find people have their own groups of their region. There are differences and I can see irritation and people really uncomfortable when somebody talks in vernacular language. This increases the difference among us. We say we have unity in diversity which is a fake scenario that we are showing it to the world. India is a country which many small countries within herself. Today people want Telengana, Bodoland, Gorkhaland, Bundelkhand etc. This is only because we are getting divided and there aren’t any laws to tie us together. The language difference is a problem to not only people who think it is a problem but who try and ignore it as well. When our country became republic and the constitution was made it was said the Hindi is the official language and member of the parliament will speak in Hindi and those who has problem in speaking Hindi should try and learn Hindi but this hasn’t happened by the time. We have ignored this. HINDI hai hum watan humara Hindustan we have forgotten this. If we ignore Hindi and start speaking in vernacular languages then the people will continue facing the problem the face today. Language shouldn’t be a barrier to communication process of India. If someone takes in Hindi people of Maharashtra has problems with that, what I don’t understand that why they have a problem is Maharashtra outside India or they don’t want to be connected with India. Thinking their state language superior doesn’t makes them superior there are other states who respect Hindi and adopt Hindi and are doing better as compared to Maharashtra. How much do they contribute to the GDP, how many Nobel prizes did people of Maharashtra get. Why they promote Marathi when they can’t improve the name of the country. India is rural based country and its rural areas consist of various languages which the people of the state sometimes have problem to understand. What they state should do is promote the common language so that when some social worker or rural manager goes there to work they don’t have problem in communication and understanding the people. If I am saying anything wrong then I wish to say to the people who think that this diversity of language is good that all of India stand for a single song if anyone has problem then start singing our national anthem in Marathi, Bihari, Punjabi, Telgu, Tamil etc. If you think that is wrong then not having a common language is also wrong. No one has the right to insult the national language. In fact it should be mandatory of each Indian to know Hindi. I feel if you are not comfortable of anyone speaking Hindi in front of u then you are not really a true Indian as you are disrespecting the country’s language. All states should join hands in promotion of Hindi and Hindi should be made mandatory in all schools up to class 10th. In fact like the reality show RODIES telecasted in MTV have a round in which group discussion round is conducted in Hindi. This pattern should be followed by all management colleges and they should make sure that when you are working India you should know Hindi. Promote Hindi should be made an agenda. No language is bigger than the RASHTRA BHASHA. Let’s unite or voices if not the culture. And we definitely see a better understanding between the people of India and the development speed will increase and unity will be attained. No sooner India will be a developed nation with one voice, one word, one language. Jai hind jai Bharat.
